Commercialisation Policy
Ireland is making the transition from an economy where foreign investment played a large role, particularly in the ICT sector in order to serve the EU market, to an economy based on innovation. With larger and larger quantities of public money being invested in research there is a greater and greater demand to be socially accountable and show a return benefit to funding providers i.e. Irish Tax payers. The NCPST endeavours to meet this demand by being a world class research centre for plasma related research, producing world class publications and graduates, we also endeavour to increase this .return on investment. is in the technology transfer/commercialisation of the research undertaken within the Centre. The NCPST is the platform that can provide the link between lab and marketplace.
